GOOGLE HAS 2.5 TRILLION SEARCHES PER YEAR

In 2021, there are 4.1 million search queries, 63,000 search queries done per second, 230 million per hour, and 5.6 billion per day which are more than 2.5 Trillion searches per year worldwide.

In 1999, it took Google one month to crawl and build an index of about 50 million pages.

In 2012, the same task was accomplished in less than one minute. 16% to 20% of queries that get asked every day have never been asked before.

Every query has to travel on average 1,500 miles to a data center and back to return the answer to the user. A single Google query uses 1,000 computers in 0.2 seconds to retrieve an answer.

GOOGLE DOODLE

You heard that every day when you go to the Google homepage where you search for something. the style of google's logo changes every day and that celebrates different days, events, and much more. That is known as Google Doodle.

A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's homepages intended to commemorate holidays, events, achievements, and notable historical figures of particular countries.

So, When you go to google.com next time don't forget this blog.

Leave in the comment what you saw last time in GOOGLE DOODLE.

TABS ARE BASED ON OUR SEARCH RESULT

Most of us use Google in our daily life. I've noted this very recently. Based on our search keyword tabs like images, videos, News and books are showing in a different order.

My search keyword is Tom & Jerry. If you note videos are just after all tab. Because it's related to the video.

The search keyword is New York Times. It's related to news so, the news tab is after all.

THERE IS ALWAYS A GOOGLE MEET ON YOUR PHONE

You don't need to download Google MEET because it's already available on your phone. If you have to do an online meeting and your boss/teacher says that the online meeting will occur on google meet but at the last moment you find that the google meet app is not downloaded on your mobile phone, You get panic and there is no much time to download the app. You just keep the mobile beside and get in tension. But our motive is to keep your tension beside to take up the phone.

Just open GMAIL!! Yess! Gmail has a google meet in it.

Open Gmail and in the sidebar, under Meet, click New Meeting. Note: If you don't see Meet in Gmail, check your Gmail settings. In the Share, your new meeting window, click Join now. If you want to join using your computer's camera for video and microphone for audio, click Join now.

Join your class/meeting and take off the tension.

SEE ANYTHING WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT IN SEARCH HISTORY

Sometimes you needed to keep something secret. The things can be your search results, Your search history, etc. But the question is how? here is your answer.

The best way is the Incognito tab. What is it? it is basically a normal tab but different because in it none of your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms are saved on your device. This means your activity doesn't show up in your Chrome browser history, so people who also use your device won't see your activity.

The easiest way to open an Incognito window is with the keyboard shortcut combination Ctrl-Shift-N (Windows) or Command-Shift-N (macOS). Another way is to click on the menu on the upper right - it's the three vertical dots - and select New Incognito Window from the list.

Note

It won't protect you from viruses or malware. It won't keep your internet service provider (ISP) from seeing where you've been online. It won't stop websites from seeing your physical location. And any bookmarks you save while in private browsing or incognito mode won't disappear when you switch them off.

NOW SEARCH WITH YOUR CAMERA

Scan business cards to your address book - Remember business cards? Turns out they're still a thing. And if you're regularly on the receiving end of them, you'll appreciate Lens' ability to scan a card and turn the data into a new address-book entry.

For the moment, this works only in Android. The iOS version can identify the pertinent text on a card -- email address, phone number -- but can't create a contact form for it. (That's an iOS limitation.)

On Android, you'll have the chance to tweak the contact info before saving it, just in case Lens missed or misread anything. (On one sample card I tried, the name Ray was recognized as "Ra.")

Judge a book by its cover - I relish any opportunity to stroll through a bookstore because browsing leads to discovery in a way that buying books online just can't.

Of course, I'm spoiled by wanting instant information about any book I pick up. Google Lens provides it: a summary, reviews (when available), and a quick link to a full Google search. Snapping a photo of a book jacket is definitely faster than typing the book title into a search field.

Take a self-guided architecture tour - Want to know more about a building? Or a landmark? During a recent visit to Chicago, I found myself curious about many of that city's architectural marvels. With Google Lens, you just snap a photo, and presto! You've got details. And it's a two-birds-one-stone kind of thing because you're creating a photo archive of your visit at the same time you're learning about what you're visiting.

Oh, and if you happen to stop off in a museum, Lens can also provide information about paintings. Not all of them, but certainly the more famous ones.

Become a botanist - What kind of tree is that? What kind of flower? The botanically curious no longer have to wonder: Google Lens can identify many, if not most, flora. It works on fauna, too, so the next time you take your kids to the zoo and they want to know more about, say, the lizards in the reptile house, put Lens to work.

THE “I AM FEELING LUCKY” BUTTON

The “I’m Feeling Lucky” button on the Google search page was designed to save people time. It does this by taking you directly to the first web page that returns your query. If you were to type in a keyword or keyword phrase in Google and press the search button, Google returns a results page that shows multiple websites matching your search phrase.

However, if you type the same keyword phrase in Google and then select the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button, the search engine skips the search results page and goes directly to the first ranked page for that search phrase. For example, if you enter the keyword “baseball” and click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button, Google will send you to the home page of Major League Baseball.

So the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button is handy if you’re fairly confident that the first result in the search engine is going to be exactly the page you want to find. It saves you time and energy by taking you directly to what they hope you’re looking for.
