Whether you have a YouTube Premium or a free account, this doesn’t affect the way you can upload videos onto your account.

With YouTube, you can share a good amount of information with a lot of people in a short time. You can also entertainingly share information. This can be in the form of:

  • Videos

  • Comedy Sketch
  • Video Animation

Like other social media platforms such as Instagram, you can now upload Youtube stories, polls, or post updates which can help tremendously with engaging your audience. For example, you could do a poll on which topic your viewers would like to see next, which not only gets your audience involved but lets you understand what people want to see from your channel.

YouTube can help boost your SEO by creating backlinks. These backlinks can be created when adding your website link onto your profile page and/or within the descriptions of each video you post on your channel. Having your website link seen throughout different areas of your channel will get the word out about your website, which will, therefore, increase the traffic to it.

Youtube began as a dating site.

Now, we see that there are more than millions of videos on youtube and people love youtube for entertainment, and of course, youtube is nowaday's a video-sharing company.
Most people didn't know the concept of the site was for it to be a dating platform.
The idea was that people would send in videos of themselves, describing who they were, their interests, like, dislike, etc., and then viewers who shared those interests could respond with a video of their own.
However, shortly after launching this idea, co-founders Jawed Karim, Steve Chen, and Chad Hurley found out that people didn't really want to upload videos of themselves for a dating website. it was too personal, and, perhaps, just a little too creepy for most single's tastes. the slogan they invented, "Tune in, Hook up." probably didn't help things much either.
To get people into the idea, Karim, Chen, and Hurley went to Craigslist to try and find people to post videos and they even offered women $20 if they loaded up a video. But practically no one participated, calling into question the viability of the website these had begun building.
Knowing they were onto something but realizing dating wasn't the answer, the three co-founders decided to switch the focus of the site so that anyone could upload a video to the internet. In removing these restrictions, people became more interested.
The first video, "Me at the zoo," which was posted by Karim, went up in 2005, and from there, the site quickly took off and became the internet institution it is today.

But in the very beginning, youtube was not like that as it is today. You know? When the first time youtube was made the youtube founders (Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim). They can't even imagine that youtube will be a video-sharing platform, they just made it a dating site.

The first video by coincidence that started youtube's grand journey.

One of the youtube founders was struggling to find videos of major events online in 2004 including global events like the Indian Ocean tsunami as well as trivial pop culture events like Jenet Jackson's moment of embarrassment while performing with Justin Timberlake this difficulty was one of the reasons the team of founders got together and created a video sharing platform.

YouTube started paying money!

YouTube is now helping over 20 lakh people globally to earn money by making videos. YouTube announced that its Partner Program crossed two million creators in its monetization program. YouTube’s Partner Program has launched 14 years ago in May 2007.
Over the last three years, YouTube claims to have paid more than $30 billion to creators, artists, and media companies. “The number of new channels joining YPP in 2020 more than doubled when compared to the year before. And the number of YouTube channels making 6 figures in revenue or more is up more than 35% year over year in the U.S,” it added.
It also said that the creator economy via YouTube has helped create jobs as well. “In 2019 alone, YouTube’s creative ecosystem supported the equivalent of 345,000 full-time jobs, just in the U.S,” it claimed.
“Creators who are part of YPP can make money and earn a living from their content on YouTube with ten different monetization features from advertiser revenue to selling merchandise,” said YouTube in its blog post.

The second-largest search engine in the world.

YouTube is not simply a website; it is a search engine. YouTube’s user-friendliness, combined with the soaring popularity of video content, has made it the second largest search engine behind Google. With 3 billion searches per month, YouTube’s search volume is larger than that of Bing, Yahoo, AOL, and Ask.com combined. If YouTube’s user base were a country, it would be the third-largest in the world.

Since Google owns YouTube, video content hosted on YouTube ranks well on Google. One of the best ways to capture search traffic from YouTube is to create videos around topics people are searching for or talking about, from viral phenomena to commonly asked questions.

Google is now youtube's mother company.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., October 9, 2006 - Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced today that it has agreed to acquire YouTube, the consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos through a Web experience, for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock transaction. Following the acquisition, YouTube will operate independently to preserve its successful brand and passionate community.
The acquisition combines one of the largest and fastest-growing online video entertainment communities with Google’s expertise in organizing information and creating new models for advertising on the Internet. The combined companies will focus on providing a better, more comprehensive experience for users interested in uploading, watching, and sharing videos, and will offer new opportunities for professional content owners to distribute their work to reach a vast new audience.
“The YouTube team has built an exciting and powerful media platform that complements Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful,” said Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Google. “Our companies share similar values; we both always put our users first and are committed to innovating to improve their experience. Together, we are natural partners to offer a compelling media entertainment service to users, content owners, and advertisers.”
“Our community has played a vital role in changing the way that people consume media, creating a new clip culture. By joining forces with Google, we can benefit from its global reach and technology leadership to deliver a more comprehensive entertainment experience for our users and to create new opportunities for our partners,” said Chad Hurley, CEO, and Co-Founder of YouTube. “I’m confident that with this partnership we’ll have the flexibility and resources needed to pursue our goal of building the next-generation platform for serving media worldwide.”
When the acquisition is complete, YouTube will retain its distinct brand identity, strengthening and complementing Google’s own fast-growing video business. YouTube will continue to be based in San Bruno, CA, and all YouTube employees will remain with the company. With Google’s technology, advertiser relationships, and global reach, YouTube will continue to build on its success as one of the world’s most popular services for video entertainment.
The number of Google shares to be issued in the transaction will be determined based on the 30-day average closing price two trading days prior to the completion of the acquisition. Both companies have approved the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006.

Is YouTube a good website?

Yes, YouTube provides an endless source of useful information. But, as with other internet search engines, it's also rife with questionable content and inappropriate user comments that are easy for computer-savvy kids to find and view.

Is YouTube a good idea?

Overall, YouTube is worth it. You just have to find the right monetization strategy for yourself. Some people, like my buddy Adam, use YouTube to sell info products while also monetizing through ads. Ads don't make him as much money, but when you add up everything together the revenue number is nice.

Is YouTube safe for kids?

Is YouTube Kids safe? YouTube Kids is mostly safe, but there are small chance kids could see nudity, violence, or just weird stuff, as well as ads for stuff like junk food.

What are the dangers of YouTube?

With YouTube, there are many dangers that parents should be aware of, including Explicit content – A lot of videos uploaded to YouTube contain content that is only appropriate for older age groups. This includes language such as swear words, inappropriate song lyrics, violence, and sexualized behavior.

What is the worst thing about YouTube?

No matter if the viewers are nice or not, youtubers always have a way of being angry shits. It’s why I only go on YouTube to listen to music and not for commentary on games and whatnot.

It’s understandable if they’re calling people out for arguing or complaining about something. But I feel YouTubers get mad at anyone for the most stupid reasons.

What do content creators hate about YouTube?

Obviously, the shallow topics channels getting more importance to # of views than content creators is one issue.

For instance, if you take a female makeup cosmetics channel, she will be getting a huge amount of views than the average content creator channel due to popularity views.

So the exposure to traffic is limited to content creators any day. Content creators the viewers need to find the topic of their specific video. With makeup artists it's the opposite whoever is searching for “makeup” will find those videos easily sorted.
